On January 2002 started the construction of this beautiful lodge, Unique in this class located on the upper Amazon basin overlooking the majestic “Pastaza” River. Their owners are visionaries on the bio -ecological tourism of this magic and amazing ecosystem, they met this encounter in 1992 while been invited to visit “Hola Vida” reserve, a non profit organization which its goal is as well to protect this unique ecosystem.
From this prospective the lodge wants to show you and the world the Ecuadorian central fascinating rainforest, understand the indigenous culture. The lodge has hired local people, this way we contribute to improve their low income and at the same time we benefit from their ancestral expertise and knowledge in the rainforest.
The Lodge has been coached by COLLEGE VOYAGEURS-NEW DIMENSIONS TRAVEL & TOURS a private agency from Ottawa, Canada which has a lot experience with eco tourism, so with this Canadian management the lodge wants you meet your expectations in the encounter with this fascinating ecosystem and at the same time offer you a quality treatment in our facilities.
As part of the cooperation of college VOYAGEURS (NEW DIMENSIONS TRAVEL & TOURS, the Canadian&Ecuadorian excursions C.A was created. This is a direct tour operator agency to Ecuadorian rainforest, which will open again in the near future in Baños city (one of the most popular places for foreigners in Ecuador)
“Altos Del Pastaza rainforest” Lodge will cooperate in the construction of “Rainforest Animal Rescue Center” This center will be managed by non-profit organization with national and foreign voluntaries, its mail goals will be the conservation of Fauna and Flora. We will treat sick, neglected rainforest animals and re incorporate to its ecosystem once they are well enough to survive, our volunteers will help local communities to share and live with the rainforest, avoid hunting, and learn another alternatives to improve their low income, this was will be able to avoid the destruction of this unique ecosystem.
“Altos Del Pastaza rainforest” Lodge has followed recommendations from health department regarding food selection and preparation, so our guests can feel comfortable and secure of our foods. We have as well an experience chef, so you can enjoy our local and international cuisine.
