TIPS

As per “Próxima Parada” a TV travel program which shows the most important turist attractions- destinations in Ecuador we are proud to announce that our lodge and reserve in one of the 10 more beautiful places to visit in Ecuador and unique in the rainforest region of Ecuador

Rain forest is one the world’s most biologically diverse ecosystems, even when it is less than 7 percent of the land surface on Earth.

Rain forest ecosystems contain more plant and animal species than virtually any other habitat in the world.

Rain forests play a critical role in global climate regulation by absorbing carbon dioxide and liberation of Oxygen to earth.

One hectare (about 2.5 acres) of tropical rain forest may contain more than 600 species of trees.

Many as 1,000 different cultures of indigenous peoples may be living in rain forests worldwide.

The early 1990s tropical forests were being destroyed at a rate of approximately 28 hectares (70 acres) a minute; 14 million hectares (35 million acres) each year.
